2 season in league 1 for Reading. Will the plastics recycle back into Chelsea fans?

Nice to see you thinking green Batch

The Plastics like the PO's as much as the Shitheads....don't think either has ever got through, unlike the mighty STFC, whom up until recently were the most successful with three PO victories.

The Scum are one of only a handful of eligible clubs never to have even qualified for the PO's.

See I don't understand all this plastic stuff. If we were in the premier we'd have the same sort of thing- fans coming out the woodwork.

I thought it was more to do with them being fake Londoners - as in Plastic Cockneys.

But you can't deny there are a fair few who were Chelsea that seemed to turn into 'Reading till I die' all of a sudden. They deserve mock(ney)ing.

Whats the point in worrying about loan players? We need to try and forge our own team. Then use loans as an emergency if we need an impact player. Im not sure Kanu would be that keen to come back to be honest.

Just think of all those Reading fans, left 45 minutes ago, and still all in the car park!

At least we would be in the pub if we left early!!!!

But it would be the same here- guaranteed.

I have no doubt that we'd be the same, loads of 'fans' pouring out of the woodwork.

But what wound me up about Reading's plastics was how 'full-on' they all were when they got to the Premier League.

I used to work for a company based in Bracknell, only went to the office once a week say and there was a guy there that never mentioned football, didnt even mention it during any passing conversations...and he knew that I was a Swindon fan.

Once they were in the prem his desk was all decorated in flags and he had a scarf over his pod, Reading Wallpaper on his PC 'Caution, Reading Fan at Work' sign on the back of his chair.... it was sickening. He even mentioned to me about how good 'Mike' Kitson was and how he would eventually become an England player.... twat.

Nah....we only had 11,000 for our first game in the Prem, Reading would have easily doubled that.

It would be if we too had a 'shiny' new stadium that people could visit! Its amazing how many people are still 'intimidated' by a trip to the County Ground.

If they could combine it with a trip to KFC and Matalan without having to move the car - they'd be beating down the door.

I was just pointing out the reason I think they are called the plastics doesn't really relate to their new fans as such.

Of course it would be the same here, and I'd be delighted at the extra £££ coming in. Doesn't mean I wouldn't take this piss out of other teams plastic fans.

New grounds do make it that bit worse.

Means the plastic brigade are more likely to simply take over. At least with old grounds the proper fans still have their traditions, which sets of fans sit where and so on.

For instance, if we were in the top flight I would still expect the Town End to be pretty much the same.

Being born in reading i can confirm the plastic tag, is due to most of their fans in previous years being chelsea or west ham fans until we came to town, when their allegiance would switch for 3 hours.
