Fair play giving Wilson the freedom to make changes to on and off field arrangements.  Needs backing like this if he wants to achieve what I think he is capable of.

I'm glad Wilson isn't afraid to make big changes in order to change our fortunes. I'm now of the thinking Wilson may have been the best manager of our choices but time will tell.

What's clear is that he feels we're definitely at the wrong end of the table and is showing more desire and ambition than we've had all [last] season. I don't expect a 100% turnaround within a season but if I was betting on our fortunes I'd put money on a clear improvement.

These are the sorts of changes which we thought would realise our potential under Malpas but never materialised.

Biggest clear out since McMoan but in that case that twat got it wrong and ripped the heart out of the club!

Not suprising... It's becoming clear to me that at this stage Wilson is on the same wavelength as many of the fans!

Blindingly obvious thing to do, thankfully DW can see it too. So far he's got it all right I reckon (will miss Barry Corr and Brez but he's probably right with that too) looking forward to seeing things develop.

Interesting. So we need 2 new coaches and about 6 players I reckon.

Wilson doesn't have a track record of having the same staff everywhere.

I'm still hoping he'll bring in Shaun Taylor though Smiley

ooooh

A few years back I was in Ashton Court with the missus and the entire City squad (Tinnion's summer in charge after Wilson's sacking) were training - I could help shouting "Sah-win-don" followed by a "ooh Shaun Taylor" - I looked and sounded like a right knob.

Not sure what Taylor has been doing since he left City, has he been coaching or managing anywhere else to build up his reputation ?

While the sentiment is there with Taylor I'd much prefer someone who has a good record as a defensive coach....perhaps Sturrock would like to give Blackley back to Swindon !

No, I'll take sentiment thank you.

Shaun Taylor has worked more-or-less constantly since retiring Bristol City, Forest Green Rovers and the Elite Advanced Development Centre.

Byrne is good at his job and he was working for Plymouth College.

I'm glad the article mentioned that Wilson was looking for a new keeper coach.

Otherwise I would have said it was a cost saving exercise.

It was a shame we lost Mike Stowell after one day.

Ive heard that an FL or FA official came round inspecting coaching badges and Graville produced a South American one that no one had ever heard of. So for the rest of the season he had to have the youth coach with him on the training ground.

So basically the bloke didnt really have the qualifications for the job, hence the termination.
