Swindon chief executive Sandy Gray says the lack of concrete offers for striker Sam Parkin is encouraging. [BBC League 1 News homepage]
Never thought I would hear that!

To be fair, if Parkin was in huge demand the club would have had more than one bid by now. There's clearly something putting clubs off signing him and I think it's his lack of pace.

Or that the board will sell him at Christmas if he doesn't sign a contract at some dirt cheap price? Or that wait twelve months and they could potentially have him for nothing ...?

Very few deals are being done at this time of year....most players, managers etc being on holiday....of course there is talk in the background.
Also if you take up a contract now you have to play a player for not doing anything so, no concrete offers for SSP is to be expected.
I believe contracts expire in June, so its even possible that SSP may return for pre season training before completing his move.

Crewe, wonder if he'd want to go there? Doubt it. Watford I could imagine him wanting to join tho.

Parkin for Real?
Interesting. Not sure if they've got the cash though...
