After a quick google I can confirm you are correct. Number 29. Looks from the map like Fleet Street stops at Duck, Son and Pinker if that's still there.

I walked past there yesterday...the traditional site of D S and P, is now Subway, but there is a sign up some stairs to the left of Subway for D Sand P...didn't look to be a whole lot going on mind. It's always been a bit confusing as to what is Milford Street, Fleet Street and Faringdon Road. If you wanted a bus to by approximately Milton Road Baths, it was known as The Centre. This usage seems to have become defunct.

I think Duck, Son & Pinker is shut. When Subway took it over it stayed upstairs but it was a pretty barren stock, it looked like it was winding down.

Another victory for globalism over decent local industry. Is there seriously anyone who would want to replace this wonderful place with an overpriced sandwich chain? Three quid for a sarnie that tastes like nothing except salt? Fuck off.

Calm down mate. Duck, Son and Pinker is a chain as well. An expensive one as that.

There are decent local musical instrument shops in Swindon, Holmes and Kempsters are probably the reason Duck, Son & Pinker shut down, especially as the latter was so expensive.

The last thing I bought in D,S and P was a triangle, a big bugger, I gave it to a fit bird who I was seeing at the time for a birthday present, because I liked the shape and, its both, audio and visual metallic tinginess. I think she thought I was a bit mental and promptly did a runner
