Wasn't it originally going to be 8 series, but the makers realised they were milking it far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far too much?

I think it was originally supposed to be about 4 series but then it was so successfull the network want to milk it and get 8 series in (which would explain why 3 and 4 were such filler series) then when they all realised they were milking it too much then decided to cut it back down to what the writers felt they needed to finish the show. They decided on another 2.

...I could have made that all up mind.

I don't recall ever hearing that there was a set number of seasons to begin with. They just rolled with it, then in the 3rd season people got pissed off when it went nowhere, they realised they needed to set the end date so they did.

When they made the 2 hour pilot (which cost over $10m) it hadn't been commissioned, ABC wanted them to provide an ending so it could be shown as a one off if necessary but the producers said they couldn't / wouldn't. But the producers have always said that they've had the story mapped out in a "bible" since day one, so they always knew where they were going with it. Though they started to drag things out in season 3 partly as they didn't have an end date so it was impossible to plan how far to move things forward.

I really need to get a life, I spend far too much time on Lost at the moment and have done for a while. Fuck knows how I'm going to cope when it finished - best TV show ever!

And Locke isn't Smokey. Locke is dead. Its "fake-Locke" that is Smokey.

I watched the opening double episode of season 6 earlier. It's on Sky on Friday so I won't give anything away, but there is some crazy shit going on especially one thing that happens right at the beginning. It still does your head in a bit though, they're still bringing new stuff in to it and there is only 640 minutes left to go now.

There are official streams if you're in the USA (or can fake it), which isn't much help. Not aware of any elsewhere but then I don't look as I always use torrents. How about getting a mate with Sky to record it?

I've still got an active sky player account even though I cancelled my sky, I'm hoping it will work tomorrow but have no backup plan if it doesn't. In the past I've always found it on megavideo or some japanese site but last night was an all round mare...all the video sites now want to you fill in a survey to provce you are human and it's a ball-ache. I guess I can always torrent if I have to.

I noticed that, so i stopped watching it. Nobody else i know who has watched it didnt catch on, stupid mo's. Aparently EVERYTHING does get answered. But i don't like the amount of new questions raised in just two hours. Oh well.

I think the title "LOST" is ironic seeing as i am very very lost in the storyline(s)Smiley.

Hmm, that was probably 2 of the most irritating hours of telly i've watched in quite some time. I won't be watching that next week unless i have nothing else to do! Smiley
