I need to know that for my 50/1 too - considering you misled me originally!

Finishes in top 4 = £10 @ 12.5/1 (quarter odds) = £125 Finishes top = (£10 @ 40/1) + (£10 @ 12.5/1) = £525

Finishes in top 4 = £10 @ 12.5/1 (quarter odds) = £125 Finishes top = (£10 @ 50/1) + (£10 @ 12.5/1) = £625 and you get the £10 or £20 back respectively.

On another note I hope to god the board are willing to spend a bit next year to replace him.
I'm not so sure we will sell tho'. How often do you find a 25+ goal as season striker. That's ussually the basis for a good run at the playoffs given a decent defence. If we were to sell, you lose that. Even spending the money on the squad won't guarantee those goals are replaced. So barring silly offers (3-4 mill ion plus ) I'd keep him. I don't think his value will decrease at all (barring injury), so it's not a grab it while yoiu can senario. I trust the board are astute enough to realise this.

We won't want to sell but we might have to consider it if a big enough offer is tabled and Im pretty sure Cox will want to go onto bigger and better things...

Given the sheer number of scouts now attending our games I think we can safely assume Cox will not be here for the start of next season. Seems the clubs on the whole are Championship ones with a budget or lower Prem level teams willing to take a punt on someone who could turn out to be great, may not - in a sort of Nugent way. Certainly heard 7 figure sums now being used in discussion as not being off puting.

My hope is that he will want to stay until we get in to the Championship, and the Board supports this. If he goes, it will show lack of ambition by the Club, and scoring strikers are very hard to find. Que sera etc.

I think it's an unrealistic view, to think we can keep him. Either "stupid" money will be bid, and make no mistake everybody has a price. Or Cox will want to leave. If he did want to stay I'd assume he'd have to sign a new contract if merely to protect us from his contract expiring. Can we even afford to pay the wage he is now worth?!

What Batch said, he'd have to do a Parkin and sign a new contract so he's got an extra year if we want to keep him beyond the end of the season.
I assume if the worst came to worse at the end of the season he let his contract run down we'd still get some compo if we offered him a new contract because he'll be under 24.
So we'd get what someone classes as a fair price for 3 years training and 50 odd goals.

We either need to sell him in the summer or get him to sign a new deal.
No point in keeping him til Jan, the goals he scores in the 1st half of the season wouldnt be enough to guarantee us doing anything and we'd end up getting a shit fee.
