Surely they turn the water off?
Instead of walking up, why didn't the water get turned off and someone edge down in some rubber trousers or something,?
Yes water is turned off but unbelievable amount of condensation in those things make it treacherous. We used to have boots (like ones used for jet skiing etc for grip plus rope with harness, not sure if they do now ? ) The fighting that may have ensued over the rubber trousers would have made that idea prohibitive !

drunken wrong thread posting? Negative on both points. It was in reference to the title of the thread really and I am bored at work, training Injuns is soooooooo dull.

Yes and yes ! Ultra busy and great fun most of the time but also hard work. Had its soul destroying moments of boredom too ! Lots and lots of funny incidents involving staff and punters - some charachters from the sitcom Brittas weren't that far from reality !

ha ha ha ace - my boss's screen saver is the characters from the Brittas empire with the names changed to the people that work with us!
I always wanted to work at the Oasis so I could go in that little pod thing and say "all swimmers with Green lockers, Green lockers please leave the pool now!"

Did you have to tell people off for "heavy petting"? I want stories.

I have to tell this stupid teenage couple off for "petting" all the time - horrible pasty ginger girl with her ming spotty boyfriend - constantly chewing each others faces off in the pool - they try and hide under the rubber ring in the fun with floats session!

Did you have to tell people off for "heavy petting"? I want stories. Sometimes 'petting' was too far off the mark ! More like penetrating in the case of a groupie with a heavy metal band that played the Oasis several years ago and decided to go for a swim before the show ! As for water testing its only done to check temperature, PH levels and chlorine levels so that anything that shouldn't be in there is dealt with by the chemicals ! Of course if someone unloads a giant log then that gets fished out with a net ! JFW, it was heavily rumored that one of my old bosses at the Oasis did some consultative work with the writer/writers of Brittas !

At least they took precautions.
