Oxford United could face a points deduction because Eddie Hutchinson was not registered with the Football Conference at the start of the season.
Even though Hutchinson, 26, has been an Oxford player for three years, clubs are obliged to re-register players at the start of every campaign.
United gained eleven points from matches in which he played before the problem came to light in November.
In October Mansfield had four points docked for a similar offence.
A points deduction would almost certainly mean the end of United's fading play-off hopes.

Vi er best i verden! Vi er best i verden! Vi har slått England 2-1 i fotball!! Det er aldeles utrolig! Vi har slått England! England, kjempers fødeland. Lord Nelson, Lord Beaverbrook, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Anthony Eden, Clement Attlee, Henry Cooper, Lady Diana--vi har slått dem alle sammen. Vi har slått dem alle sammen. Maggie Thatcher can you hear me? Your boys took a hell of a beating!"

That sentence is pure quality.

Lovely stuff. I was getting semi-worried that they were beginning to sneak up the Conference - surely they won't get away with this?

Nope, but he's the guy who turned us down for Oxford.

I so hope they get the points deduction.
I used to want them to get back into the league, so we could play them again.
Now I just want them to go bust and fuck off.

I'd love to see them relegated and Supermarine promoted. I don't want to see them go bust though. In a way that would be part of STFC gone as well even if we don't play them anymore.

Suffer yes, stay in non-league yes, but nothing worse. I miss the little yellow twats.
