Events isnt great - everyone is cutting back - loads of big Christmas parties were cancelled - seems to be picking up a bit this week though but everything is short lead time

Due to the fact Ive been made redundant 3 times I always keep my lifeguarding now too as something to fall back on - the leisure industry is silly busy in Jan!

What a choker, my fucking heart bleeds for you. People are losing their jobs left right and centre and all you are worried about is the price of playing six a side.

why should I give a fuck about anyone else?

That's the thing, with the way things are going a lot more people may be in danger of drowning.  You could be in for a busy spell.  ;-)

If they want to drown they should go to another leisure centre - we would have them out the pool in a jiffy ;-)

Last night I had a dream I was a postman.

Legget pulled up in his van whilst I was at the sorting office. But I have never met Legget but he looked exactly how I imagine Fatbury to look. I've never met Fatbury either.

All in all it was a bit strange really.

thats quite offensive... Sad

My mortgage payments have gone down and so has the cost of running my car so thats a plus.

Work wise, My job is pretty safe. Royal Mail have been making cuts and cost saving for the past 8 years so it's nothing new.

This xmas, with more people shopping online than ever, had to be one of our busiest ever.

We also announced that last year we made a profit (a first for 10 years).

i have a mate who who's a carpenter, another who does landscaping, another in plumbing, and they've never been busier...

I think there's a bit of a ripple at the moment caused by all the people who a year ago might have moved house but instead are sitting tight and just sorting out all the stuff that's wrong with their current house.

But there's still at least as many trades people employed in construction than in domestic maintenance field who are all either out on their ear or worried for their jobs. That's got to have an effect sooner or later.

I haven't really been affected negatively really. The only thing thats made a difference for me is the cheaper prices everywhere.
