What a great team those Dutch sides were in 74 and 78...a travesty that they never won the World Cup...

Mad that an argument with the Dutch FA meant that Cruyff (probably the best player in the world) didn’t go to the 1978 tournament.
Imagine Argentina not having Messi or Maradona at a WC tournament

Anybody that drinks in old town might know Les, frail looking guy in a shirt typically too big for him. Drunk Chardonnay or Smirnoff Ice. Could often be found in the Kings on a Sunday being mockney. Passed away 3 weeks ago but was only found last week 😥

Massive star in the 1970's, but like so many was made redundant by Maggie Thatcher.

RIP.

Big supporter of Stockport County, my main memory of him when I was a kid was "Whos a silly Billy" and his Ted Heath sketches with his shoulders bouncing up and down. Hard to believe in the 70s in his prime he was only in his early 30s he seemed so old to me as a child. RIP.

Tbh, I’ve never seen the point of impersonators. They all have the infuriating habit of not stopping themselves ‘doing a turn’ if they happen to appear on other programmes. That Rory Bremner grips my shit.
