Considering how prolific he was at Birmingham, it's amazing to think he had 9 years there before moving to Forest. These days he would have barely lasted 12 months before getting snapped up by a bigger fish... Jude Bellingham being a classic modern day example...

It's an age thing. I always think of Birmingham for Francis after seeing him score 2 against us as a 16 year old
Thought he'd scored just the one in a 1-0 triumph.

So I checked - and you were of course correct:

Francis returned the following season, 71-72 when Latchford scored for Brum in a 1-1 draw.  Birmingham went up that year by which time the 19,000 crowd who saw Francis' brace had dropped to just 14,000.

RIP to an obviously very decent guy.

ah man that's sad. Was never a fan of her music but appreciate she was well regarded by many .

Had mental health issues and her son killed himself a year or so ago, so.. actually that's speculating.

Britains first million pound footballer, Trevor Francis.

Actually he wasn’t. Cloughie wouldn’t pay it on principle. It was £999,999,99

Watched him play for Birmingham for several seasons, he was helping out in defence, going box to box and scoring goals, he was half the team most games.
