According to some reports, Bart-Williams died of a heart attack.

My god, what are the odds on that? 2 international footballers dieing from the same thing on the same day.

Chris Bart-Williams, 49

I remember us being linked to him in the early 90’s around the time he went to Sheff Weds.

49 is no age at all, very sad

Both arguably known best for their stints at Sheffield Wednesday & Nottm Forest (depending on your age I suppose)

Also remember seeing Trevor Francis play against Town as a 16 year old.

Very much a Birmingham City and then Nottingham Forrest legend.

Don't know why but always thought of Trevor Francis when listening to Jasper Carrot story about a double decker bus with Brum fans hanging from the top by their scarves.

Sad day

This for me too. That goal in the European cup final in 81 will live long in the memory. RIP Trev.

I fear that Bart-Williams untimely young passing could be more to do with his mental health than his physical health from what I have read Sad he too was a decent player RIP.

It's an age thing. I always think of Birmingham for Francis after seeing him score 2 against us as a 16 year old
