Just watched his post-match interview from after their 1-0 loss at home to Hartlepool. His body language is that of a very annoyed man, which is not common with the usually relaxed Ward.

Carlisle's form has been atrocious and he's a good, proven L1 manager with a good squad. It just goes to show that it does happen to the most experienced of them.

Strange isn't it...last season you'd have said Carlisle got it dead right by taking Ward from Cheltenham....although their away form was patchy, home form was excellent.

So they get dirty Leeds in the PO wipe the floor with them at Elland Road, then slip up at home.  Not been the same since. Bit like us after Brighton.

Just been sacked.

Think hes a decent manager, but 9 losses 1 draw from the last 10 is shocking.

It was quite obvious that Ward was in trouble just by watching that press conference last week. Good manager who was given ample support by the club but it didn't work out. Ho hum.
