Every game I play, my central midfielders get awful average ratings, no matter what their stats and no matter how well the team plays. Is this normal?

I can't get a decent performance from my AMC either. I have tried 4 or 5 different players here and all of them average around 6. I have loaned in youngsters from Premiership clubs but nobody seems to play well. A tad annoying and I think it is hindering my team making progress.

I beat Southend 5-2 the match before I had to go to work with both Cox and Paynter netting. Omena??

Is Corr always injured in other peoples games? I had to sign Robbie Fowler on a free as a temporary measure. Netted 2 on his debut as Paynter was dropped for being woefully out of form!!

Top of the league in La Liga. Front 2 off Ollic and Aguero is a dream partnership.

i had the same problem until I recently set my AMC as the playmaker, since then he has given me me 7-8 performances for the last four games.

Will try this then, cheers! Have Filipe Morais in this position at the moment and he is ace, but his performances are worse than his stats would suggest. You could have solved my problem though!!

cheers ironside i'll give that a go

could be the problem? give it a bit of a change.

No no, I have lots of different tactis set-up but I try to stick to one tactic as often possible, mainly due to the limited ability in the squad.

In the end I finished 14th. I WILL get promoted next time.

I ended up bottling promotion...for 1/2 of the season we were unbeaten, sitting top (just). We ended up third, behind Leeds and Scunthorpe, and got Orient in the play-offs. Drew 3-3 in the first game at their place, 1-1 at our place and as both teams pushed forward to try and avoid penalties...we succumbed. Twice.

They lost to Leicester in the final anyway, bastards.

I don't know what it's like on the new ones, but in old fm's and cm's the january-february period used to always be prime players being knackered period.

I've been having the same problem, but I think SI are aware of the problem.  Should hopefully be fixed in the next patch which is due out mid-Feb

In my Roma midfield I have tymoschuk and essien. They both have an average on 7.7. Which is brilliant.

I think it's more of an issue for attacking midfielders.  I'm playing as AFC Wimbledon and bought in Jamie Brown as both my current amc's were playing poorly, only for him to have a form of 5.5 after 3 games

It's not a bug though, how can it be when others including myself have sussed it?

My AMC plays in a 442, and my DMC was doing just fine. To figure it out I watched a whole game (Not just the highlights) and watched what was happening with my AMC and basically he wasn't getting the ball. It also seemed to be worse at home because I was playing down the flanks therefore completely by-passing him.

As soon as I set him as the play-maker the rest of the team where getting the ball to him more and after a little more tinkering he was playing like Mickey Hazard.

I played Scunthorpe in the final of the Simod Cup - 2 nil up and into the 5th minute of injury time and Southend score to make it 2-1. 30 seconds to go I kick off, Paynter dawdles on the ball, Scunny go up the pitch and score. 2-2. I lose 4-2 after extra time and get sacked. I was in 16th nowhere near relegation.

I won't be playing again for a while!

Had a bit of a nightmare in my first season, got relgated with a squad I thought was more than capable, got promotion straight away with 100 points and 100+ goals.  3rd season I struggled to start with but went on a storming run and could have been in the play-offs with 2 games to go.

4th season was a dream, got promotion no problem, 5th season managed to survive in CCC signing some real gems.  Final whistle went for the final game and I was sacked - that's gratitude...

How can you get relegated and not get sacked and I get sakced for being safe in mid-table and getting to the final of the Windscreen wipers! Not fair!
