Anyone know of any cheap places to stay for a night in Newquay? A long shot I know but hoping to go up there for my 18th, but have no idea where to start.

Well if you want really cheap take a tent!
Loads of camp sites there, of course the actual date of your 18th will have a huge bearing on my suggestion.

Stayed in a shitty hotel/b+b at the top of the hill, just down the road from the golf course, its well within stumbling distance of the town bars etc. It's part of/above a bar called 'top o' the town' but the actual name of the place itself escapes me. Cheap as chips as i remember.

We wanna go somewhere else. We're not threatened by people anymore. All our insecurities have evaporated. We're in the clouds now. We're wide open. We're spacemen orbiting the earth. The world looks beautiful from here, man.

Try this place, its a surf shack type place, quite nice and reasonable cheap, downside being you end up sharing a room unless there's enough of you going to fill a room of course, bit like a youth hotel. Went down there for a mates stag do, probably last sept and the the pubs were packed with Stag do and Hen nights and a few surfer types. There were more people in fancy dress in the pubs than weren't. www.reefsurflodge.co.uk

Tried to get into Sunnyside campsite this year but it's closed now! Newquay will be very quiet in December, you'll get a b&b very cheaply, if they are even open...
