It could have been worse Barry, you could have done what I did and make every single bet for the season (excepting the Cox one) into a double with "Hull relegated" as the secondary bet.

During my darker hours I give some serious thought to knee-capping Geovanni.

Okay, yours is worse, but that's with hindsight of course. Pre-season that would have been a fair shout. Anyway, you ain't seen some of my gems.

Swindon to win the league - £5 stake £215 if we win.

Town to be promoted - £26.39 staked to win £219

Mk Dongs to be promoted - £5 stake, win £26 if they do. (Why did i bet on those cunts? And at WANK odds. I hate myself for backing those plastic pricks. Hopefully all my other bets will fail and i'll be praying for dons to go up, then they'll fuck it as i cursed them.)

Leicester or Leeds to not be promoted (Yes i know, another super stupid bet) £8 staked £18 to win. (Seriously, what am i on? This is why i don't gamble!)

I am pleased for you all.

Here are some interesting stats.

Leading goal scorer by season (league goals only):

2007/08 - Simon Cox: 15 goals, Billy Paynter: 8 goals
2006/07 - Lee Peacock, Christian Roberts: 10 goals
2005/06 - Rory Fallon: 12, Jamie Cureton: 7
2004/05 - Sam Parkin: 23, Grant Smith: 10
2003/04 - Sam Parkin: 20, Tommy Mooney: 19
2002/03 - Sam Parkin: 25, Andy Gurney: 8
2001/02 - Giuliano Grazioli: 8, Andy Gurney, Danny Invincibile: 6
2000/01 - Danny Invincibile: 9, Gary Alexander: 7
1999/00 - Chris Hay: 10, Giuliano Grazioli: 8
1998/99 - Iffy Onuora: 20, George Ndah: 12

All off the top of my head of course.

Smiley

Doing off the top of your head might explain why you've credited SSP with 20 league golas in 03/04 when he only scored 19.

Out of interest what happens to your bets on Cox if he get's sold in January to a championship club  - do you lose your money ?

Yep, as his final league one goal tally would be the amount he'd scored when he left us for the Championship. (unless nobody beats it...  Grin)

Id like to think that the business acumen of Fitton and co would ensure he wasn't going anywhere until the end of the season - seeing how important his goals have proven so far.  Alternatively if he goes, I'd rather he went elsewhere in league 1 so my bet still stands Cheesy

Joint 4th with 7 league goals. Lambert on 9, Beckford and Mackail-Smith on 8.

Joint 4th gets me money.
