Going down Wednesday morning.
Strangely I shall be getting up earlier than I would be if I was going to work.

I'm not going this year but if I do go again I think I might go down on the Thursday night or even Friday morning. The only time I did go we went days early and as the music hadn't even started there was nothing to do except sit around getting mashed. By the time everything properly got underway me and my gf were mostly burnt out (sleep deprivation etc) and didn't have the energy to trudge through the crowds in the rain to see different acts.

In an interesting twist on proceedings I am planning on doing the whole event without eating any burgers.
It will be tough but I think it is entirely possible.
The question here is though should I have one tomorrow night as a last-supper-type affair, or is there a danger of me getting the taste for it and subsequently failing my big challenge?

To be honest you’d have to be hard pushed to gorge on burgers anyway as they limit the number of burger vans on site. Most of the grub is really good and six good small meals a day keeps the hangover at bay.

In previous years I have lived on a diet of bacon sarnies and cornish pasties.
Never had any of the latter as good as what they do down there.

The Welsh Oggie is my favourite next to the lamb and mint pies.
What booze are you taking? Boxes of Red Wine all the way for us with a few sneaky hip flasks of vodka.
I never forget buying red wine off a dealer/hippy that came in your standard cardboard orange juicy boxes you see. Tasted good though.

Oh nothing civilised, just lots and lots of cider. Possibly a supplementary stock of rum and coke in a plastic bottle, and another of vodka lemonade.
Bought myself a fishing trolley from some place in Cheney Manor to carry it all about on.

I'm taking 24 cans of cheap lager (not Carling though) and will be buying a whole raft of Brothers daily!
We're heading down Wednesday hoping to get there before 9.
Food there is awesome... Make sure you try the carribean fare at Yam the Casava near the bridge by the Jazzworld

This is the water. And this is the well. Drink full and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes and dark within.
