They were the classic knuckledragging 'no trainers' gorrilas dressed in tuxes. I remember them letting me, a 6ft 3 big bloke wearing brogues in but knocking back a skinny 5 ft 2 girl in pumps who was with us.

fuck knows reg, i was probably after the nosh, actually the only memories i have of diggers is getting in scraps.
i remember djing at a goth birthday at chippenham town hall, it was fucking shit, left my mate in charge who had never dj before necked a pill and went down diggers, got back at 2am and there had been a power cut 20 mins after i left, he was sat outside and twatted me when i got there, i was all loved up and couldnt stop giggling.

Why did they ever knock diggers down?? it was a classy joint - I remember once - during some kind of England game some world cup years back -swapping my top for an England flag and wearing it into diggers it was supposed to be no football tops but they let me in!! - the foam partys in there were always immense.... and that funny little cocktail bar at the side... and snogging my boyfriend at the times boss upstairs whilst he was downstairs with his mates!  ahh they were the days |
