Was in the shop last night, they had sold out of L shirts and they haven't got a lot of other suff in at the mo, they had training tops, shorts, stickers, keyring, Macari book & Trollope book and some choc lolly type thing with white icing......other than that fairly empty.

I'm assuming they must be waiting for everything to arrive to fill up the shop.

First time I've seen them close up was yesterday. I think the badge looks worse with the white border (should have perhaps done the border as a square if they had to have one). For this reason alone I will not be buying one.

I popped into the shop Saturday morning as I had just picked up my courtesy car and the garage was nearby - nearly mowed over Michael Timlin and his girlfriend int he car park as I wasnt used to the new car and took the corner a bit wide  Embarrassed

It would be pretty ironic if you damaged someone else's car.

If they are sweat shop, you have to wonder why they aren't a bit cheaper?

I mean, what are their overheads?

(This is a bit obscure and seems innocuous, but I promise this wasn't a serious post).

I heard they buy in the shirts for about £8 a piece - which made me feel slightly ill

Why do we put our western standards on this sort of thing.  I'm sure the amount of money these asian kids get for sticking sequins on dresses for primark help them out shit loads, if they start getting a decent wage it'll only be inflationary for their region.

As long as they're happy (as the average person is at work) carry on paying them what they're on.  No problem.  I might get one now, just to help out the poor buggers!

£2 for a top is brilliant news, plus sanjay gets his 2p an hour, and as they always say on comic relief every penny helps.  You can't have it both ways.  Getting paid 2p an hour is better than your sweat shop being shut down by the western do-gooders and then sanj being out of a job.  How's he gonna get by with no reddies coming in?

Every penny counts - keep the sweat shops open!

Getting paid 2p an hour is better than getting paid 1p an hour.

Hyperinflation in these countries means that it's always dirt cheap to go there.

More of this kind of thing!
