Were we that bad against Steaua or Fenerbahce? Were we that bad against Pompey?

Are we really two divisions worse than L1?

and by the magic of mobile internet, i'm both on here and in the don rogers stand. It's one all. Nalis great. Peacock just denied a clear cut penalty. That other triallist has gone off at half time, he wasn't as great as i'd hoped.

Casal didn't go off at half time, Kanyuka did. He switched Casal to CB.

On to the game, Nalis is, as said, ace and also brought the best out of Timlin. Macnamee flattered to deceive somewhat. I don't think, judged solely on tonight, that Casal is significantly better than Callum Kennedy, who i thought was very impressive in the second half. Peacock looked very sharp and should have added to his tally. I think he is in front of Paynter to partner Cox come the 9th.

Finally Jack Smith played remarkably well as well. Crowd was somewhat disappointing but it's shutdown this week. The Don Rogers Stand fast clapping drove me insane, and after all these friendlies I cannot wait to get back behind the net where we all belong.

Were we stroking it about Panda Paws?

And have there been any gains in the catering department?

Good game, some slick passing at times, mostly in the 1st half.  Nalis should have been passed a contract on leaving the pitch on the sole basis that he is the first midfielder I've seen in years offer himself for a ball from the keeper.  Left back looked useful, a little issue slotting in at centre half but I doubt he's played many minutes let alone games in that position.  Morrison was a bit shaky to start with which allowed Cardiff into the game.  Liked the look of Nalis and Timlin together and Peacock played quite well upfront and should link well with Cox.  McNamee drifted for a while but started to enjoy taking the piss out of the right back towards the end.  All in all I was impressed and with a bit of pace on the right we'd look a pretty good outfit this year.

We played some nice stuff at times. Even the two CB seem to be looking for Nalis instead of looking long all the time. All along the backline, when they won the ball, they would instantly look to Nalis, who would then move the ball on in as few touches a possible. He looked a real class act, although he did begin to fade into the second half.

Catering seemed identical but I'm not exactly a regular at the kiosks, apart from the odd bovril...which tonight was alot weaker and luke warm at best.
