The world has indeed gone mad.  It's no different though to Brazil being Nike's bitch.  It is a commonly held belief that Ronaldo should never have taken part in the 98 world Cup Final v France but did so because of massive pressure from Nike who sponsored him in particular and the squad in general.  Ronaldo had a mare, Brazil had a mare.  The rest as they say, is history. sick

Club football you could almost say fair enough, sponsorship is a big part of the domestic game so we don't want these halfwits giving exposure to our opposition while we are paying lord knows how much money on team sponsorship.

International football though is an absolute joke.  Klinsman should hang his head low.
