making a proper real life scale model of a redevlopment of the county ground? i only seem to remember having computed-generated images, and never a proper model of it.

In a word no, the previous boards plan consisted of a sheet of A4 paper with some writing and a diagram stolen from else where.

The computer generation was done by Andrew Hounsell as part of the Trust plans that were put together.

So, I think a model was a bit beyond the previous board. Although I am slightly surprised they didnt get dunwoody to make it for £6million quid!!!

Wasn't there a model when there was talk of a casino back in the late nineties? Not sure that makes much sense, and it's likely I'm confusing myself.

Not a real life scale model of a full redevelopment of such but there was a model (and some pics on this forum a while ago) of a CG model which had the stratton bank with a roof on it when we were looking to add a roof to the stand.

With Fitton & Co wanting to pull together all previous plan's from what the old board did will they be arranging a hospital appointment for a certain ex-director to have the plan's extracted from his head or will they invite him along when they have their talk and hold him upside down and shake him to see if anything fall's out ?  Tongue

IIRC, there was a lego model of the planned TipStad which was rolled out at the launch press conference with a smiling Mike Bawden next to it. Until he realised about two days later that it was wildly unpopular and then it never saw the light of day again.

EDIT: Although having just re-read the original question properly, I realised you were asking about a model of a CG redev. So erm this isn't really relevant. Doh!
