thats the problem though isn't it - sad as it may be the whole drugs thing is a good reason to steer clear of him for PR purposes. Whether he was in semi-retirement or not its cheating, he will have been competing then against younger athletes that weren't ripped to the tits and it certainly asks the question was he also at it earlier in his career.
The racism thing is cobblers though, I don't quite see what being a druggie has to do with being a brother either - well, in a sporting situation anyway.
Oh, but Coe is also a dick.

I remember the day Linford won gold in Barcelona, the race itself was brilliant!!
Could careless if he used something late on, let's have a drug olympics where you can take whatever you want, would be ace to see how far you could push the human body.

Interesting use of the phrase "black knights". If Coe had used that phrase I suppose that would have been wrong as well ?

I found this bit particularly funny... Coe also attacked his captaincy of the British athletics team, saying: "I sat in one team meeting when (Christie) made himself deliberately unintelligible to all but those who had a passing knowledge of jive."

That's the most brilliantly bizarre thing I've ever read.
