to play some decent cricket this "summer"

to do this i want to purchase a decent enough bat to get better with, is there anywhere other than JJB (shudder) or the don (about 6 bats) i can go to pick up a bat and see how it feels before i buy?

martin berril in gloucester or jrbats in one of the chippings wouldn't be a bad start
