Neither of them were dressed for tennis....and had no kit with them. Me and my mate came out and were walking to our car and we just heard this car trying to start before dying on its arse. So we offered to help.

I have no idea why they were there....... (apart from perhaps nicking cars)

I'll text my mate to get clarity on the incident... I'll report back.

And 4D, its an indoor tennis centre in West Swindon.

Yes it was, perhaps that was it - he out buying tabs and beer for the underage youffs that constantly hang around the place.

My mate has just texted me back, Nestor Lorenzo was indeed playing tennis, with linen suit man, and a young lad plus the bird who apparently, according to him, was not his wife (I've asked him how he knew it wasnt his wife, as I have no recollection of this bit)

It's actually very strange playing on a carpet. I used to go the odd time when I was a kid. Then I realised tennis was for gays so I took up cross dressing instead.

Talking of Nestor, I remember one of the games he was involved in when we won 4-0 at Ashton Gate in January '91 Smiley. We were kept in after the match for some time; even managed to witness Steve White being interviewed after the game  Cheesy

Hmmm, the carpet used to burn like fuck when you fell over..... unfortunately I played throughout my teens before I realised that tennis was for gays.....I was one of the lucky ones though, I was brought back from the very edge of the gay precipice, several fell into a untimely routine of mascara and high pitch effeminate voices.

Just saw Lee Peacock in Asda Walmart. Presume he's still injured then? Because i'd have thought he'd've been on tour?

Saw one West Brom player and most of Leicester City's squad at Stanstead.  I am convinced I saw Milan Mandaric in a restaurant in Ljubljana too.

*BUMP* Lee Peacock cycled past my house about an hour ago as me and the lad were packing the car for a few days away. Wished him all the best for Saturday, then felt a proper divvy ("Season! I meant the season"), but he'd gone by then. He still gave us a cheery acknowledgemnt though and Joe's tickled pink that a proper footballer came past our house and said hello to him
