Now then I assume Ruud V N was not flagged offside as the italian defender who was behind the goal line technically was still in play as to leave the field of play you should ask for permission to leave the pitch.

It can be the only reason it was given.

2-0

In which case Clive and Pleat should be fucking sacked!

an Italy win would be a bit good for topping up the Betfair account though!

Oh. Plenty of time to get three though...

Shit commentators really fuck me off, why they should have a quality job like they do and yet clearly lack any football knowledge is shocking.

Even if I'm wrong I'd have had a little chat about that possibility, these two aunts haven't given it a moments thought!

The was i saw it was buffon (sp) ran into panuci (sp) pushing him off the pitch, he did not (as far as i could see) signal he was injured, and was not recieveing any treatment, there for being deemed active in play, hence leaving ruud onside.

"He tried to slide it passed the giant Italian keeper..."

Buffon a giant?  FFS this bloke gets worse, I'd say Buffon is average size for a keeper and by no means a Schmeichel-esque "giant"

Schmeichel must have had a bigger frame than Buffon though surely?!?  Buffon doesn't strike me as a "giant" of a man.

Okay I'll accept that he may be bigger than I first thought.

Do Holland usually wear sky blue socks?

That whole Dutch kit is an abomination.  The baby, powder blue socks, the square numbers, the wierd shape badge and the flag is only on one half of the collar.  AND, it's the flag of Luxembourg.

Townsend as well. During his top half time punditry, he said how disappointed he was in the lino.
