Agree with you on Gladiator, nowhere near the original but very watchable.
Agreed, not great like the original but worth watching.

On my watch list: All of us Strangers, Anora, Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry, Dream Scenario, Evil does not Exist, Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon, Past Lives, Red Island, The Grab, The Whale, The Worst Person in the World, Wild Tales, The Beast, The Delinquents, The Settlers, Bird, My Favourite Cake, Vermiglio.

All Of Us Strangers **** - melancholy, heartfelt, stays with you for a while this one
Anora ***** - scooped up loads of Oscars and is a great, crazy whirlwind
Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry **** - just a beautiful story, brilliantly shot, great characters
Dream Scenario **** - Nick Cage is brilliant
Anatomy of a Fall **** - she could've done it

Kind of on trend with football club owners, we watched Parasite last night. I thought it was pretty good, Oscar winning worthy? Personally i'm not sure, but I've meant to watch it for ages so thought I'd give it a whirl.

Still not watched it, but did watch Mickey 17 by the same director the other week which was enjoyable. Slightly spoiled by being bugged by the voice of one of the minor characters which I couldn't place - discovered afterwards it was Princess Pearl from Zog (one for the parents).

Also Tim Key having a lot of fun.
