I like, it was  always a bit of a tradition for players either not quite or no longer good enough for us, to go to Aldershot.....Jack Howarth, Joe Butler, Charlie Henry spring to mind there must be others.

Wilf Dixon left Swindon for Aldershot.

I thought that the legend that was Howard Goddard had signed for Aldershot, but it was Newport County who also went bust.  Goddard did play for Aldershot eventually.
