good to hear that hes got his sights on the best and wont settle for 2nd, what if he cant get the players will peacock still leave
As he signed an 18-month contract with Grimsby today, I'd say, yes he probably will Or as the increasingly illiterate BBC sport website has it: Lee Peacock has signed and 18-month deal at Grimsby They really have got the work experience kids doing the BBC sports website these days haven't they?

As Jeff Goldblum said in Independence Day....
"...the clock is ticking!"
I agree that Wilson shouldn't do a Sturrock and simply bring bodies in (Kevin James and Dave Partridge). However, we are getting increasingly short of bodies!

Ashley Grimes as well. Given his record since he arrived (in combination with Fitton) I trust Wilson's judgement far more than I've trusted any manager's since...

Normally i'm F5 all day, but i'm not that worried this time, and bringing no one else in could work in our favour. Even if we get injuries AOB is on the way back, as is Sheehan. What i can also see is fringe players if called upon i.e Easton, even Thompson, Macklin et al, really stepping up, wanting to impress in an impressive season, that chain of events might even be the better option!
That was a report from Glass half full........12 pack almost empty....

All i remember is Kevin James was supposedly similar in attitude to Hutchinson and I can't remember Dave Partridge. Not at all. In fact i will go look him up now to see if it helps me remember.

I don't remember any of them apart from Gnapka and I suppose I vaguely remember us laughing at Ashley Grimes' very Corrie-esque name - did they ever play for us?

Michael Rose, often linked with us, has transferred to Norwich.

Think we will struggle to cement and maintain a top 6 position without additions to be honest.
Whilst i have no doubt that our first 11 are good enough- injuries/suspensions may take their toll and a couple of additions may make all the difference between the top 6/or not.
Still, over another 24 hours to go...
