Perfection is not attainable

Any links JJ?

Wikipedia mate...I know its a loose link but

Quote
Stead is thought to be holding talks over a move to the Keepmoat, and a return up north to be closer to his family although there are doubts whether the move will go through due to Doncaster's financial straints and Stead's salary price. They face competition from Stead's former manager Neil Warnock who is rumoured to be interested in bringing Stead to Crystal Palace. Rumours have escalated further in recent days that Stead could be on his way out of Portman Road to either Doncaster or Crystal Palace.

Not too bad. A few decent touchs but not anything to get too excited about. He's good a bit of pace and had a similar build to Billy. Looks a similar sort of player. Think he's short of match fitness so hopefully we'll see more from him in a few weeks time.

He did ok, nothingmore nothing less. His pace wasn't that great but he held the ball up ok and tried to like up with McGovern alot in the first half.
He kept trying flashy flicks that never came off though.
He did look a bit rusty but there was definately something there to work with, he tried to get in the box quickly for crosses which should see him in the right place to score a few.
Hopefully he will get better but he definately looks a bit better then Tope IMO.

Thought Hutchinson was looking more for the through ball rather than the one to feet. He kept angling his body for that not for the stab into feet or for him to hold or turn on. Then we might see a bit more of him at his best.

From the matchday thread (not having a go, it's nigh on impossible to find anything in there amongst the love/hate fest between the moaners and the happy clappers Smiley but I thought i'd better explain why I was quoting myself. It's not that I think I'm worth quoting, just I can't be arsed to retype it)

On Hutchison, he was clearly not match fit or 1st team sharp but he had little flashes of some quite intelligent play. Personally, I thought he showed enough in the first half to show he'll come on to be a decent player for us once he is match fit. To just write him off as "useless" and "terrible" making no allowance for the fact he's only just joined the squad, isn't match fit and has been playing Scottish reserve team football lately seems to me excessively harsh and gives no sense of the context.

If he doesn't improve over coming weeks, I'll revisit that judgement. But for a first outing in a wholly new environment, he wasn't outstanding, but like I say showed enough IMO to give me confidence he'll come on well for us.

Thankyou all...much appreciated!

On another note, I was sickened to see in the paper yesterday that Theo Robinson has scored 6 in 6 for Huddersfield Roll Eyes

Not sure how true but southend fan on 606 has said Alex Revell is joining us on loan.

It hasn't been announced yet but Revs has gone on loan to Swindon, the reason financial.
I have to say i am extremley worried about our club, and am very much looking forward to getting some answers from Ronnie boy on Thursday at the share holders meeting.
I seems to me that the Stadium is the only thing that matters but sadly it doesn't look like we will have a team to play in it.
Thoughts please!!!!!

Do we need more loan strikers? Assuming one isn't going back of course.Revell doesn't seem prolific for the stats.

I can't see that rumour being true.

It could be true if we have exhausted all our options, maybe DW was banking on Morgan.

Could well be january now before we sign anyone.

He's actually got better stats (scoring %) than Simon Cox had when he first joined us on loan.

He was very good at Braintree Town granted, but I don't think that really counts! That leaves  1 in 6ish goals/game ratio. Besides Cox was young, he's 26.

Don't get me wrong, if he came he then great. Lets see what he can do before judging him. I'm just trying to make sense of the rumour.

Most of our top scoring strikers over recent years have had shit records before they joined us and shit records after they left us. I'm sure Wilson and co look at the actual player rather than ratio's, so I'm not sure they're relevant - which is the point I was making.
