Lee Trundle would be a huge risk considering his lack of goals, age and cost.

Showed up to pre-seaosn training incredibly unfit apparently which is why City will let him go on a free! Maybe worth a short term measure but certainly not a long term player for us.... or anyone for that matter.

given that we only have paynter, and that trundle can score goals, I would snap your hand off for him at the moment. Fat or not, he knows where the goal is.

Maybe if he changed his name from Trundle to Nandfitandraringtogo?
Bit of a bugger for a chant, mind.

“I refuse to bring someone in who, in two month’s time, we will be looking to get rid of. That’s false economy.
“I know it’s frustrating and I feel frustrated for everybody, none more so than for the fans. But as I keep saying, we cannot rush these things and if they don’t fall into place then they don’t fall into place.
“We want to make sure that the permanent deals we have will be there for quite a few years, because we’re not just building for this next week or the season - we’re building for the seasons after that.
I think we can rule Trundle out.

I'm not so sure. If fit, which he would be in a coupla weeks, he's a good player, no?

He certainly was a good player and is 'only' 32.
But I haven't paid much attention since he went to the cider swillers. He was on loan for a bit at Leeds last season wasn't he?

it wont be trundle as all is made out to be as trundle is unfit and wilson wudnt want to bring a player in that isnt going to make an instant impact. both strikers will be 25 and under.

In that case wouldn't the offer of a contract for say 3 years help attract someone like Billy Sharp for example? In the current economic climate it may not be all about the highest wages being offered. Providing any fee involved is inside our range, of course.

He's more interested in getting himself on Soccer AM than performing for a football team and that's just one of the reasons he is no longer good enough.
