Saw that too - wouldn't mind him here.

A guy on TFF who normally is pretty accurate says we are talking to Danny Webber and Reading about HKR on season long loan, could not be bothered to trawl back through this or other posts so apologise if this has already been posted.

Danny Webber was a very good player a few seasons ago, not sure if he had some injuries though, or just suffered from the curse of strikers at Sheffield United.

Webber doesn't really seem to fit the bill though for the type of player we're meant to be looking to bring in. Would be quite suprising too, I think he'd do a job at this level though (if the rumour is even remotely true).

He's 27- thought he was a bit older than that, but not exactly a typical target if there's anything in it.

They don't all have to be 21 tops, Douglas isn't - I'd actaully be worried if we only signed youngsters.
Don't suppose there's anything really in this but good to go for a bit of experience - as Spencer mentioned somewhere else Mooney was a great signing and he was what 32?
Would be a good show of intent, although thisis would put a massive negative spin on it despite being the sort of signing they say they want.

I'd love for us to get Webber.
Possible lineup if we get the rumoured targets:-
GK - Lucas/Smith
RB - Amankwahh CB - Greer (c) CB - Morrison LB - Aljofree/New player
RW - Robson-Kanu CM - Douglas CM - Easton/Timlin/New player LW - McNamee
ST - Paynter ST - Webber
I realise there's not much chance of that being the actual side, but i'm bored. Wouldn't mind that too much for a first 11.

Kanu is the 1 player i really want us to get. He would be that midfielder that would get into double figures imo.

I suppose if have to go with Has at LB we could let Kev be a bit more maraudering, having Has tuck in as a third CB if he does get stuch up the pitch - wouldn't really work with HRK on the right but JP could prob tuck in a bit to make it effective - although Macca on the left wouldn't help, unless Timlin is in the middle to fill in at left WB.
That's all a bit FM isn't it, I'm sure Fergie could make it work at Utd but L1 players don't really have it in them...
Meh.
