Couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread....if it was kept to purely transfer rumours then it would be so bad...

Just seen on Sky Sports News that Spurs offered up to £20 mil for Kenwe Jones in January, that's utter madness right?

I think Niall Quinn must surely be telling fibs.
£20million for Kenwyne Jones? They'd have driven him to White Hart Lane!

I like Kenwyne Jones he's a good player but what is it with the hype? As Roy would say he's good but he's not great, ok on his day he's great but I don't see any value in him above what they already have at Tottenham.

Barring Pavluchenko, who they don't seem to like, all the other strikers (and most of the midfielders) of Spurs are Smurfs.
Jones is at the very least a tall type, foil for Defoe and Keane in the Berbatov mould I would have thought was the plan.

Tit bit on Robinson from a regional rag this week confirming talks...
Swindon are also believed to be tracking the former Manchester United trainee, though they have had talks with Matty Robson, who last week rejected new terms at Hartlepool.

Seconded, cant there be a seperate thread for the other stuff? Putting it politely i have no interest in other teams transfers, and everytime there is a new post it's pretty much irrelevant to me at the moment, victor meldrew over and out.

Good point Nemo the Ruski looks like he could be given the boot if anyone comes in for him. Still way over the odds eh at 20 million spondoolies?

He's English(ish) and Spurs are notorius for overspending. A heady formula which leads to David Bentley costing £15m.

How is a man born in Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago English(ish)?
