It may depend on what Clem wants.

Or until we extend his contract

Maybe if we offered him a pay rise with his new contract he might sign it.  🤷🏼‍♂️

Morfuni will hopefully know that if he upsets Holloway or goes around him in terms of transfers that would very well spell chaos and such in terms of Smith the decision will rest on Holloway and Holloway only.

If anyone’s capable of spending silly money in this league, it’ll be MK.

Hope young Princewill can hit the ground running

Before another club will sign Smith for a decent transfer fee, he would have to pass a medical, might not be a formality with back spasms.  However, given the numbers of strikers in the squad with one more possibly arriving today, a Smith transfer appears to be on the cards.  Dongs look nailed on for the autos, having apparently already signed a striker for a fee that is astronomical for League Two.

He’ll probably be surplus to requirements in league one a bit like Duncan Shearer when he signed for Blackburn and was gone the following season.

Exactly, if MK do get him then it will only just be to spite us. I struggle to see why they would desperately want him and if they do get to L1 then they will just spend more and he’ll quickly become second-string

You mean like Wrexham - I guess if they have the money, you can afford to build teams for a specific short term purpose.

Delaney told he can leave

I presume he couldn't play upfront?

Precisely, don’t think I recognised any of their starting 11 against Southampton as the team who played us on Boxing Day ‘23 and only two of their bench I remember being part of the team. Lower league teams do go through players but I’m sure we can all recognise they’ve chopped and changed players to get out of the respective leagues at a rapid rate

I just don’t trust Clem to give the sale fee money to the football department if he gets sold therefore rather just keep him no matter what fee. All decent sales under Clem have been replaced with free agents or much cheaper options. Multiple examples, McKirdy went for rumoured 350k and Morgan Roberts came in for 30k. Sold Louis Reed for 25k and got McEachran on a free. Got a good fee for Wakeling and effectively replaced him with a 16 year old Miles Obodo until January. Even the Godwin-Malife money wasn’t seen again as we got a load of free agent defenders. Harley Hunt money was used for Cox, Butterworth and Kilkenny’s wages on deadline day. To sum it up let’s just keep him instead of replacing with significantly cheaper options.. again.
