Sam has said Evans is expected to get a national league loan.

So I'd assume with Ripley getting a 2 year deal we'll be looking at a Lewis Ward, mid 20s perennial bench warmer type keeper rather than a youngster or another old head.

I saw that was a reply. I can’t compute it tbh. Played too much top end league one football and Huddersfield wanted him on a perm. Was Lonwijk a guess? Could it be someone else?
Its definately not Lonwijk.

Another wild rumour ive seen is Craig Dawson as player coach.

Can't immediately see any Holloway link, not that there necessarily needs to be one of course.

Wages would be a major stumbling block, I think people are seeing us speaking to Wolves about a CB and them releasing Dawson and putting 2 + 2 together and getting 14,345,321.

To hear Swindon, League 2 and Wolves defender rumour and to end up at Craig Dawson is certainly ambitious.

You got any inside info mate? I'm assuming it's going to be a youngster nobody has heard of, for a first bit of EFL experience.

Wrexham and Derby both talked about as being interested in him. That levels seems far more realistic than L2 Swindon! A young player released from their U21 squad like Justin Hubner or Philozofe Mabete seems more realistic, assuming it is someone who can play as a CB that we might be looking for.  Hubner is interesting, as he can also play LB and CDM. But honestly, you would think he will find Champ or L1 opportunities before he is looking at us.

You have it spot on young man, a young CB on loan and not the name mentioned perviously on here.

There's a full dozen listed as defenders here, so probably one of them!

True. I do personally like Delaney, I think he suits a back 4 better than a 3. I am happy for him to be 3rd/4th choice CB.

Seems early for a loan but I guess its not like they will be going on tour with Wolves!

A loan was hinted to me by a contact but it may be a perm signing yet. A loan makes more sense if hes an untried youngster.

Look at Freckleton when he was exposed to league football for the first time, it took him 6 months and a manager change to adjust to it.
