Moonraker now reporting we won’t get a fee for longelo
No biggy, get a wage off the books of a squad player, put a clause in for a percentage of any future fee and that will do. Salford had a defender called Negru leave after his loan was cut short yesterday, gone back to some non league outfit called Headington United or something.

Salford apparently are currently losing £80k per month so a fee was always unlikely.

Can’t send Freckleton back. No recall clause it would appear.

Edit - all 3 parties have to agree to send him back, Sheff United aren’t playing ball

They’re losing less than we are then (aren’t we £1.2m a year?) - despite bigger crowds, and a lower playing budget.

So now we have to play Freckleton instead of Longelo. Fantastic.

I actually like Longelo. He is one of our better players most games.

Almost as if we're being fed total bullshit and have been getting robbed since Jed took over.

I don't think there's much chance of Freckleton playing right wing, to be honest.

why the fuck wouldn't they send him back if we aren't going to play him?

surely it makes sense for him to at least train with their group even if they can't get him another loan?

how odd.

I agree, Longelo looks a prospect, but he wasnt happy here and Ollie couldnt play him in every game.

It’s likely as we’re paying his wages. Until/if they get him another loan this month he’ll go back otherwise he stays with us.

Perhaps they have made their mind up they aren't going to keep him anyway, so no point in him being there interfering with others development.

It's £80k per week - which is actually about half what it was when they first came up.

Apparently no clauses or sell on's or anything. We're just giving him to them. Nice of us.

Absolutely is a big deal as far as I'm concerned (if true). A further indictment on how poor our business dealings in the transfer market are & likely an indicator of how it will continue to be under this lot.
