Moonraker claiming the 2 trialists are from Prem U23 teams. Adver says one has been heavily linked with another league two team.

The other 2 must be the experience Ollie is pursuing. Obvs.

I'm looking forward to listening to the fullness of what Holloway said rather than the transcription in the Adver article.

I do like what Holloway is saying and doing. A few weeks ago I really thought we had no chance of avoiding relegation. Now, I have a little hope.

I don't expect massive signings, but I think Holloway knows what he's got and what he's missing. The goal has to be to avoid relegation - Not to get to the playoffs. Staying up is the priority. (But I was interested in the article to read that they are putting stuff in place for next year too. So, next year's aim has to be a promotion push - from L2!!!)

I hope that by the end of the window we have at least a 'marginally better' squad than at present. Anything more is a bonus. Anything less will be a significant concern.

The Holloway vibes thing is interesting: we're in exactly the same league position (22nd) that we were when Kennedy was sacked, today, two and a half months later.

And yet I do sort of agree that things have got better. It's just that our competition seems to have got a bit better too. I dread to think where we'd be if we were still playing as we did in October now.

The difference is recent momentum up, rather than sinking.

Might be true, might be short lived. We'll see

Or the Russian Scottish striker Oleg McNolegs.

When Holloway arrived, we were 22nd and on our way to the bottom. It took him a few weeks to get a grip on the squad (no wins in his first 5 league games), and since then we've only lost 2 from 7.

Up to Colchester (A) our record was P18, F20, A32, GD-12, Pts13 (0.72 PPG). We were bottom, 1 point behind both Carlisle and Morecambe.

Since then, the record is P7, F11, A9, GD+2, Pts11 (1.57 PPG). Now we're 4 points ahead of Morecambe and 6 ahead of Carlisle (although they do both have a game in hand).

Out of those 7 games, 5 were against teams currently in the top half, 4 of which we played away from home.

Does that mean we're too good to go down? Not necessarily but I was convinced we'd be relegated by 1st April at one point, and now I expect us to finish at least a few points clear of the bottom two.

I think before the last 5/6 games we were dependant on two teams that were worse than us to stay up.

Now, I think we may be able to save ourselves, depending on how the transfer window goes for us and the others
