Doesn't that suggest that NL might be his ceiling then? Of course the jump from NL to league 1 is big and he could possibly be ready for L2? Still a risk either way.

He's also had terrible injury issues so that's a further risk. Paid dividends with Glatzel mind.

Not with that goal scoring record. He's certainly too good for the NL. Perhaps L2 is his ceiling. His scoring record reminds me of Doyle's.

Injury wise, broken leg's unlucky but judging by his appearance before that, all looks pretty good. A broken leg could bring us some issues in his career going forward. It's certainly a nasty one.

I would agree if he was 22 but there must be a reason why he has not been given the chance before

The broken leg was in 2022, since then he hasn’t had a relapse.

Worth noting the only reason he dropped back to NL last season was because he had already played for Fleetwood and Peterborough before he was recalled in January.

His injury was in 2022 and he seemed to have hit form with Boreham Wood on loan last season so perhaps he's worth a punt. Hasn't really happened at Fleetwood or Posh but we do have a pretty good record with strikers don't we?

Sound like i am being a right negative cunt but i really don't want us to be taking punts. With the budget we have been promised lets get someone half proven.

Thing is anyone coming in would be, at best, 3rd choice. No proven striker is going to be happy in that sort of position.

We need another striker but it's definitely going to be the hardest position for us to get the right guy in.

Agreed, it’s the same problem with a goalkeeper, nobody is likely to loan us a keeper to not play.

Yeah I have no real problem with punts if you have 14 or 15 reliable players. The problem we've had for a few seasons now is punts as starters (left wing back last year with Ward, Genesimi and then Uwakwe, for example)

Remembering however that Jake Young joined on Aug 2 and wasn't a first choice. I know he wasn't a "proven" striker but it worked out well

Just a rumour and no substance but Anthony Scully just released by Portsmouth.

Has no real scoring record and looks like a Luke Norris type player.
