The Stockport reviews on him were good, he just couldn't break into a promotion chasing team.... which is why he will be perfect for us.

Spunked the budget on the first eight signings.Loan signings to round out the squad depth unless players are sold ie,Khan or Glatzel.

Strap yourselves in folks, not sure promotion will happen under the current ownership, unless we get lucky.

But then,no way Clem can afford to run us in League One.

True!

Think people are forgetting Sean McGurk. I believe when up to speed in a few weeks we will be one of the best No.10’s in the division comfortably.

Why are people convinced Mcgurk is the savior of the team.?

Yes he has shown glimpses of talent

But after 9 games he is very unproven and can't stay fit...

Loans are now probably the only signings we will get.

Unless we move a few players on...

Something to pin hopes on I suppose.

Yep, let’s hope the lad can hit the ground running when fit.

McGurk looks like a young lad with very little experience. He has potential yes but he hardly hit the ground running like Glatzel.

I hope he'll prove the believers right.

Perfectly fine signing if he’s going to be slowly integrated in.

Problem if he’s going to be thrown in and relied on as the main outlet in midfield, for a number of reasons.

Him and McGurk need a more tried and experienced creative player to lean on. Ideally a permanent as well because if they’re the levels we need then they’ll be recalled in January pronto if a loan.

Don't think anyone thinks he is the "saviour"
just a bloody good footballer on the evidence so far who could well shine in League 2

He's shown he's capable of doing things that your average League Two footballer cannot. The question just remains as to how often he can do them. He also has a bit of the cult hero about him so I can see that people really want him to be good.

Im sure he won’t be the only creative player we’ll sign, and you never know he could be another Massimo Luongo. He had a bit of a nothing loan before joining us. But really I wanna see us try and get someone like Matt Smith in.
Still got 2 years on his contract at L1 Wigan where he played 28 games last season and scored once.

Yep this could be a big season for McGurk shame he will miss Chesterfield game not sure after that though

Doesn’t Harry Smith have the No10 shirt and McGurk is 11?
Agreed big season for him, didn’t mean quite literally number 10.

Random rumour and probably no substance to it but heard we're looking at Tshimanga at Peterborough.  Whether is a loan or perm not sure.

Deal could hinge on outgoings from the club though

Heard the same from someone else who thought it was more likely a loan.

That’ll be nice for Peterborough, we’ll get him scoring again and they’ll have a nice asset to recall in January and sell on to someone else permanently before his contract expires. We’re a generous club.

Same source that mentioned Cotterill said Tshimanga too.

Tbf I’m not against having him on loan. That’s the sort of calibre of loan I want, not an inexperienced 19 year old.
