And Adam Le Fondre*

* I'm choosing to assume he's a relation, but he probably isn't. I'm not looking it up to ruin it for myself...

Tbf, his bio looks decent. Nearly 20 games in the Championship and helped get 2nd tier Belgian side promoted to their top league last season

Funny how you can read things differently. I saw he was on loan at Northampton for half a season and only made 7 sub appearances and was less than impressed.

Kian Le Fondre he gives me more trialist vibes.

Local lad, he was linked but hes under contract still and an important part of the Cobblers team still, they want a lot of money for him, would have been a quality signing.

The new name I heard mentioned would be a good addition if it comes off, a very experienced CB with more than the last 14 years in the Premier League and Championship.

I’ll guess Sean Morrison.

Now a signing like that would begin the process of my socks being explosively removed from my feet.

Personally I would probably prefer it to not be an ex player but Morrison would be a very good signing.

Available a free from Rotherham and still only 33, wants a move back to the South |West apparently.

Exactly the type of defender we have been crying out for.

Oh yeah, i wouldn't complain about him returning. Played most of the season in the Championship, you would imagine he would do the Aden Flint at Mansfield role for us.

Him and the Delaney lad would be the couple of big no nonsense CB's people want.

Two proper CB's and Dokes in a back 3 I could cope with, especially with a real Defensive Midfielder.

The problem with it last season was having Brewitt, with Dokes & FBT who were both marauding forward leaving him exposed. What with two Wing Backs who weren't good defensively either.

Wouldn't be upset if we signed Morrison

Morrison would be a proper statement of intent.

Is the Delaney transfer still a thing? It's gone very quiet since last week.

Got a long throw too, not something I enjoy as a regular tactic but something else to have as a different option.

Is he quick enough to get on the end of his own long throws?

Cheesy

Hearing a deal could be done either today or tomorrow, not got a name yet, I expect it will probably be Delaney or Brindley.
