Not going up, not going down. Estimate £20k fee and £60k off the payroll (to year end). I can see why, yet it remains unimpressive.

It’s just Clem getting a higher earning senior player off the wage bill. I noticed gunning said they would be training more with the youths in the future - I assume because we’ll have less senior players.

He did in the next sentence say that he wasn't going to play them though, it was a strange mixed message.

He'll have to.

Plus I'm sure Adam Hart will make sure he trains with them.

I'm not sure we needed to know those important details LL but thanks all the same  Wink

On the offer. I think even if the club had accepted a nominal fee - say Cheltenham matching what is left on his contract as a fee; which probably wouldn't even amount to c40k {assume LK on max c2k pw most likely less}.

That at least gives the club the saving of his wages and c40k. So if even if we reduce that a bit and underplay LKs wage; might have given the club c60k to play with? Would give an opportunity to get 2 experienced frees/rehabilitatees in for the rest of the season or probably 6 free ex prem academy cast-offs to ''invest'' in  Smiley

Or alternatively any fee might have possibly gone to buy in the next batch of belushi  Blink

In Bradford now. No sign of Jake. Not read back. Have we signed anyone? HTH.

There's"experience" for you

He’s certainly experienced when it comes to returning to Swindon. At least he knows what he’s in for.

I now completely understand what Clem meant by 'personally overseeing the transfer window'.

He just wanted to be here to make sure we could sell as many players as possible.

Some bloke on facebook reckons Kinsella had a contract clause where he could leave if he had an offer from a higher level. (I find this bizarre anyway as he spent the last 5 years in league 2)

Doesnt explain letting him go for free at all, surely you want a fee?

How does this sort of deal benefit the club?

This is my thoughts too, utterly pathetic excuse to remove our highest paid player from our wages, simple.

Any player under contract with us should at least command a transfer fee of some sort, even £10k, doesn't make sense unless we were absolutely desperate to get him off the wage bill.

Did Kinsella deserve higher earning wages? He contributed very little to the team.

He was probably our most consistent midfielder over the last 10 games (ignoring Kemp). Never really stood out but head and shoulders better than Khan and McEachran.

No way Kinsella was on wages high enough we had to get him out asap.
