As I said the other day. We’re not going up. Therefore there won’t be any expenditure that isn’t necessary for the remainder of this season.

Why is it when we do no signings all we get is negative postings yet when we do sign someone we still get negative postings ?.   Club appears to be doing all it can with ‘said’ available funds.

Because we already lost 4 players and we were probably four or five short before that.

These current signings are a sticking plaster to fix January, we then need a bandage to fix the summer and ideally a shot of morphine on top, then maybe you will start to see more positivity.

The problem is that there is a portion of the fan base that simply doesn't believe it will happen.
Can't afford to do now. May not be able to in summer if ST decline significanly

I don't believe it will happen so I am with you there.  I think the owners have proved over the past 18 months by their actions that is not likely to happen - but it at least explains why fans are not going mad with positivity when a signing is made.  A signing out of necessity is completley different to a signing out of ambition.

And despite claiming to have learned from the prior seasons mistakes, we continue to sign players with next to no experience and young.  I refuse to get excited by signings when I have seen players like Cain arrive and show next to nothing of the qualities we need to get promoted from L2.

I may be unfair with that, but we are literally carrying out the old saying about insanity right now.

If Clem had never said a word, we'd never received any comms from the club, we'd only have actions to judge on.  It's a farce.

Most likely, these young Premier League academy lads we have signed on a perm, are probably ones who have been told they won't be having the option/extension offered/applied/activated and will be released in the Summer.

Therefore, I would say that although Town appear to have paid a fee I would be inclined to think that they are incredibly nominal fees. From the boards POV, with no money, they'll see this as a good way of getting in bodies on the cheap, and one of them might come good.

Some might say - well why not just get them totally free when released in the Summer? Probably because Town are currently operating where they don't even have a full matchday squad to put out, numbers are required and as mentioned above, these lads are probably costing so little anyway. I hope STFC {at present standing} doesn't end their careers/confidence.

But don't worry, this is all being done as a plan to be able to afford Kemp back on loan

The club obviously i mean. Only yesterday they were telling us they have not used the summer budget and the manager said he will have a mix of experience and young players

Yeah, combined with a more proper and stable transfer policy {including some experience woven in}.

Currently STFC seemingly only wants to pay at the lowest possible denominator...and gamble on the clubs Football League position.

Either way, it's not befitting of a club that is probably one of the top 5 supported in L2 and would probably compete with the top 8 supported in L1. That's simple analysis granted but this club and it's supporters certainly deserve so much better than assembling in the main - a team full of punts and injury prone players.

A reminder to the board, this is professional level football, not Southern League Div One South and West - start operating like you're a professional outfit or fuck off

The much trailed Conor McCarthy. Two big CBs in a day.

McCarthy is on loan, but who cares at the moment.
