I know this will be vastly unpopular but I didn't mind Sandro's recruitment last summer.

Recruitment was alright. Retention, on the other hand...

I'm exactly the same. There was definitely some obvious deficiencies, but they certainly had an eye for some underappreciated assets who would return good money.

I rate Khan pretty highly. He's got the ability to retain the ball in tight spaces and has a good engine. He should be playing further forward but we haven't got anyone in the middle of midfield capable of holding so it's been left to him.

Be a bit gutted if he left unless we used the cash to really strengthen with Kemp and Young plus a couple more.

If anyone thinks if we sell a player for £350k, then we will have that money to spend on a replacement, is deluded. Always have been, and always will be, a selling club. That's not necessarily a bad thing and is no-ones fault. That is just lower leagues for you.

£350k for Saidou Khan 6 months shy of being a free agent (although surely there’s an option in that contract?) is a good deal in isolation

It’s not in isolation though, it leaves a hole in the squad and serious doubts about how it would be filled. Would be a bad deal

Bare in mind too that whether or not you believe him, Flynn is still talking about play offs as the aim

Flogging Khan doesn’t help you achieve that (not sure keeping him does either, mind)

Maybe it is the only way we can raise £300,000+ for Young

I mean, yes. However he wasn't really given a chance was he? His sample size wasn't impressive however when you consider how bad we were / are it's bizarre he's not been given a run.

He got put on the pitch away at Newport last season and scored. Then never seen again.

Whether you think he's good enough for this level or not, it's undeniable he'd of been a useful option off the bench this season. Or to take the work load off Austin.

Yes, much like Aguiar, fine to ship them out but not if you don't replace them. Both better than Obodo and Hubbard!

I’d take 350k for Khan if that’s reinvested in good replacements, with the Wakeling money on top that’s a fairly good kitty.

Unfortunately I have little faith in that being the case

This.

Yes its good money, but can you really see that being reinvested in the squad? I cant. Bear in mind that it isnt all in one lump either. I wonder what happened to the Wakeling money, bearing in mind we had to inject £250k to cover running costs in October

I assumed that was his point, Snowball in hells chance of actually replacing him.

Khan is a mixed bag, when he's good he's very good....

Got a bad feeling about this. We know the cost of everything but the value of nothing
