The right back? The position we 'currently' have the best quality and depth in.

32 yo RB or RM who scored winning penalty for Sheff Wed in Play Offs and was then released. Was at Brizzle City so I guess has been open to living in the area in the past.

Unless Flynn has seen what many have and is planning to convert Hutton to a winger. He's no RB.

More likely he is off. Perhaps one of the ones who isn't committed to the cause.

But Hunt is the sort of experience I can get behind. 32 is okay age, but having played his career largely in the championship is the key factor. That's a short term player with quality above our league.

I much prefer that to the Demetriou style rumour as a year older and with only league 2 experience.

This is a rumour thread, so quite frankly, anyone can put any name in.

But you’ve put some pretty big names in the hat so far, kerr, Clare, brown, raglan and now Jack Hunt.

If there is substance to any of those you’d think raglan be the one. Seen stuff about marquee signings to get fans gripped etc and help sell more STs, 4.4K is an unbelievable effort from the 5.1k last season, fans will back blindly whilst things appear to be “ok”. Big name signings like Williams, Reed (tittle and promotion winner to championship season we got him) or even a Austin would of course help sell more but 1, I think the club will be extremely satisfied with 4.4K as it stands and secondly, big names probably fit the remit even less this season with the other big spenders in the division.

Get 4-5 quality bodies in  asap, get rid of deadwood like Aguiar, Darcy etc etc and then try pick a few gems up end of window ie how we did with benda and Grant and then let’s see what squad we have, club cannot fuck up three transfer windows on the bounce.

What is the club doing to drive season ticket sales at the moment?

How do they intend to convince the remaining 1,000 floating voters from last year to purchase?

It ain't by signing BOO and Labadie, or by Flynn saying how great it is that his mate is from Swindon...

We need some statement signings.

Flynn setting the mood music to "dismal" by whingeing about inflated markets was not a good bit of PR.

We signed Charlie Austin on for another year.
That was a statement.

I mean - I get your point that it’s starting to feel a bit like we’ve been left behind but the flip side is our squad is missing a very specific type of player and I’d much rather we take our time and get those players than get people who aren’t the right fit in early doors just to make statements.

Raglan's going to Crewe.

As long as we realise we won't sign anyone as good as Williams, I don't mind waiting until we get someone who's half as good.
