IMO and no disrespect to any GK's on here... most keepers can do the basics, the ones that we have had that have been "dodgy" always seemed to have confidence issues.
Ultimately if the team up the pitch do their job, the keeper shouldn't be needed half as much.
A quick google also shows Austin has played in the same starting 11 as him at QPR, so would imagine he would have given some advice on him.

How the fuck does autocorrect change Digby, which I accept is not a word in the English language to Rigby, which isn't a word either?
No idea. It annoys me too

Sol Bryan did well and we have had others. But also others like Kovar. If we are serious about promotion then we need experience!
Kovar had plenty of experience, especially picking the ball out of the back of the net.

we've been to Aberdeen, we hate the Hibs, they make us spew up, so make some noise, the gorgie boys, for Hearts in Europe.

I figured!! We've done the Kovar thing to death, his spell at us was pretty feeble. His career seems to have gone ok since then, sadly his spell at us was probably crucial for his education and we took the brunt of his ineptitude.

Ward is leaving/left/not getting a contract.

I don't care if the likes of Brynn and Benda have been successful. I want a keeper with 150+ games of EFL experience. Who's going to come in, command his area, organise his defence and do the basics well.
It's really not worth the risk chucking in a kid again. Just go with the safe bet.
And yes I'm aware experienced keepers don't always work. But let's play the percentages shall we.

I still stand by what I said.
Clem has this season to get things right- let’s hope the next couple of weeks reflect this as per the promises when Flynn came in.
If we are left picking up players leftover no one wants get again then rightly serious questions will be asked.
As a club at this level we should be more attractive a prospect for investors than Salford, FGR, Colchester, Gills

If a keeper had played 150 games, commands his area well, organises his defence and does the basics well he is not going to be laying in league 2!!!! He is already good enough for league 1 and above. At this level we are gambling on experience that hasn't worked before or young players with the possibility to be much better.
