A few loans at National League South level and lower, two Championship appearances for QPR a couple of seasons back. Rather surprisingly not Irish.

On loan at Jed's Stratford Town last season.

Yeah, signing a young keeper on loan never, ever works out, ever…

Basically the same profile Wes had when he arrived and he did okay. It might not work out, and it's definitely not a statement of intent type signing, but sometimes they work out.

He linked him with a move to Walsall in Jan having had a look at twitter. So clearly someone Flynn rates.

Or whose agent knows Nixon!

Sol Bryan did well and we have had others. But also others like Kovar.  If we are serious about promotion then we need experience!

I guess if your budget isn't huge, you look to spend it wisely. I imagine a loan keeper from a Championship club is more or less free, or a token % of wages? I'm pretty chilled about going down this route, Brynn was decent last season and if you look at Stevenage last season they had 7 keepers throughout the season and the one at the CG couldn't catch a cold, but they still walked away with a clean sheet!

How the fuck does autocorrect change Digby, which I accept is not a word in the English language to Rigby, which isn't a word either?

To be fair, when we last got promoted from this division under Richie Wellens, pretty sure we had an experienced keeper who was exactly the type of signing you need for promotion.

*checks records* Oh my mistake, it was Steven Benda who was a youngster with no real match experience. Edit - although to be fair Luke McCormick did play his part that season.

From Nixon: In for Murphy Mahoney on season long loan. QPR GK.
The story.

The concern with this one is the following.

'In 2021, Mahoney played for Welling United, Bath City, and Stratford Town in the space of six months.'

Does that mean it didn't work at those and he was sent elsewhere very quickly?
