Reed is sat next to Mansfield’s CEO in the photo, David Sharpe - a mate of Sandro’s and I’m sure I’ve seen it said that’s how he got his gig at Wigan.
My next question (having now seen the picture) was 'who's the bloke he's sat with?'

So thank you.

I’ll reserve judgement until I see who we bring in to replace him but it’s a shame he looks like moving on. A joy to watch last season - not been great this season but then who has. I was hoping a new manager would get the best out of him.

I liked Reed, will miss him but he's out of contract and was never going to re-sign. If we're getting a decent fee then it's smart business, just depends who we bring in to replace him. Best FK taker in STFC history? Not a huge amount of competition for that.

Out of contract at the end of the season, hasn’t been at his best in many games and seems to have wanted out for a while. Probably for the best.

Pretty much this. Bit disappointing he (seemingly) doesn’t want to at least see who we get in. Though I guess with our recent track record, he may have been waiting until after the window shuts  Wink Second option, maybe he already knows, and is not impressed?

Hopefully we can get a handy bit of money for him. I assume Gillingham overpaid for Lapslie, May be able to negotiate a reasonable chunk of that our way.

Nah! Wegerle wasn't bad. Nor was Bamber. Shearer and Quinn could smash the living daylights out of it too!! And, have you forgotten so quickly - Mr Twine ?

Twine probably correct, scored three direct FKs for us. Reed only has one apparently, sure I can remember more than that but shows what I know.

In my head STFC free kick takers are always Andy Gurney trying to blast the ball into the middle of next week, so anyone placing it looks better than they probably are!

Unless it’s against Leeds, that was a thing of beauty.

wonder if the price price will ever get disclosed, i just feel that will be good business to sell at this point in time. hes only 25 he can still get better, will be interesting to see if mansfield is a stepping stone to further his career.

He was an absolute nuisance without being great (if that makes sense)
Quicker/better decisions to hopefully come with more game time.

Also, I’d say Adeloye deserves the same chance under a non Lindsey lead team before we completely discard him.

massive shame adeloye wasnt on the bench today, 3 nil up 70 mins gone. sub austin for him would have been ideal in a pressure free scenario.
