...speculating about Bogle/Norwood, in reality it's likely to be someone completely different, could be someone playing abroad...Will be exciting to see who we bring in for sure, the ammunition behind him is certainly there.
Someone who was playing abroad. Signing imminent from what I have heard (and nope I don't do this with every signing); possibly today.

Gareth Bale is good friends with Johnny Williams so it's him. That puts that to bed, next

I’m sure the club are making a sterling effort to get one over the line!

Where has the Sterling link come from then? 1 career goal according to Wiki which would suggest he won't be the marquee signing many of us are hoping for.

Don’t think many are expecting a ‘name’ really. Bogle would be a disappointment, Norwood would be good but can’t see it, same goes for Grigg. It’s just that these 3 are available.

Yep I agree there, also for me Akinde who has also been linked would be on the "disappointing" list, hes never impressed me. I hear Akinde is likely to go to Notts County. I feel the longer it goes on and with us having the wage embargo then I feel the best we will get will be young lonees from higher league teams rather than an experienced striker, the max wage will be a problem for the strikers with a decent track record, unless their selling clubs (if under contract) will subsidise their wages.

I'm not *expecting* a name, but I would not be surprised if we do get one. I also think it will be somebody who's experienced,

Looking at the way we play it's going to need to be someone who is comfortable getting the ball into feet and retaining possession either with back to goal or running the channels. I think Simpson is good enough running into the channels but doesn't have the touch or the nous to play with his back to goal. This I think is where you are looking for an experienced striker that is able to use their body to make the ball stick to him.

My understanding of the player criteria is ‘young’ not old, journeyman type.

Having a young squad does not necessarily mean that ALL players are young. It's always best to have some experience in there as well. The General's hardly a spring chicken.
