According to the local Donny paper they couldn’t afford to offer him a deal!

But we could?

He played in 5 pre season friendlies for them and now he’s come here their fans are saying he wasn’t what Wellens wanted. I smell bullshit.
I wonder whether we will see anyone go in the other direction? Lyden or Hunt perhaps?

I don't think it's bullshit. I reckon in an ideal world RW would have signed him but given their financial restraints, there were other needs more pressing to use that money on. Pretty amazing signing for us though on the face of it.

Not trying to be critical of the signing, but he's 22 and has played 1 game.

We are spectacularly unleaky all of a sudden.

Eight midfielders now, think that might be the end of the Kelly/Thompson rumours.

Add to that McEachran.

Some of these signings are obviously squad members like Dabre and East but it is going a little bit the same way as Luke Williams, buy loads of midfielders but not enough strikers.

Hopefully we will get a few different attacking options in soon as Simpson, Parsons and McKirdy are not enough options up front IMO.

Cooper used the 4-6-0 at Colchester a few years back!

Guess Marshall will have known about this kid whilst he was at Reading. Always good to have a bit of squad depth.

I think Marshall is certainly using his links, several ex Reading youngsters have been with us so far.

As long as they are decent quality then great, they won't be on large wages I am sure and we do need bodies.

We do have a hell of a lot of midfielders but Lyden is injury prone as we know, Dabre is likely to be one for the future, Gladwin has had his injury issues and Grant is 34 now.
It makes complete sense to make sure we are well stacked in that area.
