£100,000 for 6 months! Fuck me, that sounds a dreadful deal. Add on his wages and, whooooosh!
If it’s a Grant type contract with an option, fine. But I don’t understand why we wouldn’t extend it after forking out that much.
Has Power been taken over by aliens?

It looks to me that Power is spending the money to get back to league one. If it doesn't work then we can't extend the contracts of Doyle/Grant. If it works then i assume something is in place to extend both of them.

Of course it is, how many times have we all said how savvy Power is when it comes to this kind of thing? Call him what you want, but commercially he has always proved to sharp as a tack.

That was my thought too. Don't mean to piss on anyone's bonfire (there's been quite enough of that sort of talk today), but £100k for what is actually only three months of football is bloody steep unless there are some sort of first options for us on next season. Otherwise, we have to find a whole new strikeforce again in the summer.

Knowing our bloody luck after all this he will get injured on Saturday and be out for the season! Will not be crowing until he starts scoring again.

All over to Wellens now, he’s been given everything he wanted so can be no excuses. No fans can criticise Power for the rest of the season now, he’s really pushed the boat out.

Hopefully dispels, once and for all, the myth that Power doesn't splash the cash.... Our top scorer is now not a loanee .

That's only Adver speculation, might have been £100k when he was recalled and dropped once it was clear that he wasn't scoring and could go for nowt come summer!

Either the fee is nowhere close to this (the actual fee hasn't been disclosed) or parts of the contract haven't been released (i.e. the additional 12 months is dependant on promotion).

Quite probably. Can’t imagine Power would sanction such a shite deal.

Or we have had to buy out the rest of his contract which has been included too, a rumoured £5k per week for the next 4 months would be £80k+. I understand this can be quite common in football contracts/transfers.
